Protestantism came to the Miramichi between 1765 and 1800 with the arrival of Scottish Immigrants. The first Presbyterian Church on the river was established at Wilson’s Point after 1792. The first Minister was the Rev. John Urquhart, who held services on alternate Sundays at Wilson’s Point and a second church at Moorfield. Rev. Urquhart drowned in 1814 while crossing the Miramichi River.

This is it! Today is the day! It’s going to be AMAZING!!!

We’ve put signs along both detours. Just a heads up on Route 118 through Nelson/Chelmsford you will run in to a patch of construction with lights on it but the wait isn’t long.

The Route 425 is a bit quicker and smoother sailing road condition wise. Either route is approximately an added 25-30 mins to the Point but the extra time is still worth it!

Once you get into our main road follow the signs for parking you can back in under the big pines to your left towards the Enclosure campground or in the overflow across from the entrance of the campground, or to the right of the road only down to the Point.

Unfortunately we are unable to park at the bible camp as they too have an event. Dont worry if you are further away then you’d like, Miramichi Accessible Transit’s van will be along to pick you up and take you back when you’re ready. Just wait close to the edge of the road.

Don’t forget to bring cash for the market and raffle tickets. Our vendor list had a few changes but there will still be some wonderful items for everyone.

Gates open at 11, the shuttle will start at 1045ish and run til 230.

The hunt and basket raffle prices will be drawn for shortly after 2pm so don’t miss out.

Tell your neighbors, friends and family! Where else can you enjoy so much free fun in one place?

See you soon!!!!🤗🤗🤗

Pictured below are the raffle baskets, missing from the photo is a few fixings and the 15lb turkey for the dinner basket, they will all be present today!

Left side of pic wrapped is the merch basket( value $175.00), in front the Scottish goodie(value $200) and behind that the turkey dinner basket (value $265.00)
